About Wild Owl

Why Wild Owl exists.

We wanted to create the kind of consultancy we’d have loved working with.

People who’ve been there, understand how organisations really work, aren’t afraid to ask difficult questions and genuinely care about getting things right.

People who see the bigger picture but don’t lose sight of the details.

That’s Wild Owl.

Founder story

Why I created Wild Owl.

After more than 25 years working inside organisations, around Executive and Board tables, leading teams, navigating change and making some pretty big decisions, I knew what I wanted Wild Owl to be.

I’d seen plenty of solutions that looked brilliant on paper but didn’t quite work in practice.

I’d also learned that the biggest challenges rarely sit neatly within one function.

What looks like a people problem might actually be about how decisions are made. A technology problem might be about how work happens. And sometimes, the problem everyone is trying to solve isn’t really the problem at all.

I wanted to bring together people who could see those connections.

People with experience, curiosity and the confidence to challenge conventional thinking.

That’s why I created Wild Owl.

Caroline Lambe | Founder

Wild

Curious enough to challenge the obvious.

We ask the question that needs asking, follow the work and go beyond the brief when the brief will not solve the problem.

Owl

Experienced enough to see the whole picture.

We know what change feels like from the inside and how different parts of a business affect each other.

Curiosity to look again. Experience to know what matters. Courage to act.

The people

The people behind Wild Owl.

Different backgrounds. Different perspectives. One shared way of thinking.

We’re a mix of people who’ve spent their careers solving problems, leading teams, building businesses and making things happen.

We don’t all think alike. That’s rather the point.

What we share is curiosity, a healthy dose of common sense and a genuine interest in helping organisations perform better.

And we like working together, which helps!

Our expert network

Good people know good people.

And we know some brilliant ones.

We don’t believe every organisation needs the same team or the same expertise.

Sometimes you need someone who understands how an operating model should work. Sometimes it’s leadership, communication, reward or technology.

That’s why we’ve built a network of experienced experts who bring different perspectives, specialist knowledge and plenty of real-world experience.

We bring the right people together for the work, not the other way around.

How we work

What we’re like to work with.

  1. 01
We ask questions. Lots of them.

Because understanding what’s really happening matters more than jumping to an answer.

  2. 02
    We’ll challenge your thinking.

Respectfully, of course. But we won’t just tell you what you want to hear.

  3. 03
You work with the people doing the work.

No unnecessary layers or disappearing senior consultants.

  4. 04
We’re interested in what actually works.

Not just what looks good in a presentation.

  5. 05
We work with your people, not around them.

Because the people who understand the organisation should be part of shaping its future.

  6. 06
And we want you to be better off when we leave.

With greater clarity, stronger capability and something that makes a lasting difference.

Let’s talk.

You don’t need to have all the answers. Or even know exactly what the problem is.

Sometimes a good conversation is the best place to start.
